U.S. officials have arrested 30-year old Eric Harroun on charges of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction and conspiracy to provide aid to a terrorist group.

The FBI said it arrested Harroun at Washington's Dulles Airport when he returned to the United States after allegedly fighting with Al Nusra, a terrorist organization. He did not have his American passport, claiming that he lost it in the fighting in Syria.

While Al Nusra is just one of many groups fighting against the Bashar al-Assand regime in Syria, the State Department has labeled it a terrorist organization.

A gunman opened fire and killed four people in Gilbert, AZ (suburb of Phoenix) before ultimately shooting himself according to local police. According to reports, the shooter was Jason "J.T." Ready, a former US Marine turned neo-nazi militia leader who previously lead an effort to patrol the Arizona desert in search of illegal immigrants and drug smugglers.

Among the dead is a toddler, believed to be between one and two years of age, who was still alive when police arrived and struggling for life. Sadly she later died at the hospital.

US Airways is stepping up their efforts to eventually acquire American Airlines which is now in bankruptcy. The Tempe Arizona based airline has put together a plan they intend to take directly to American Airlines investors and creditors, bypassing American's parent board, AMR according to several sources.
