Hazmat Crash On I-95 Forces Closure In Port Orange

According to FHP troopers, there has been a deadly accident on Interstate 95 that has killed one driver and injured four others. One of the tractor-trailers was carrying methyl bromide and nearby resident in the Yellow Ridge and Willow Run subdivisions were notified by reverse 911 calls of the potentially hazardous situation.

The interstate was close in both directions for several hours, but the southbound lanes have now opened, northbound lanes remain closed.

Port Orange, Fla. - Port Orange police have canceled a missing child alert after 5 year old Elijah Holbin-Hudson was found at a Hare Krishna Temple in Alachua, Florida, which is located on I-75 about 30 minutes north of Gainesville. The boy was reported missing yesterday.

Police issued a missing child alert this morning after Elijah Holbin-Hudson could not be found. He was last seen on Sunset Cove Drive in Port Orange, Florida. He is described as 3'6" tall, 45lbs, brown hair, blue eyes.

Authorities believe he may be with 59 year old Laurine Arnold, who drives a black Plymouth Duster, FL License Plate AJV-N60. She is described as a white woman, 5'2" with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The Port Orange Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 386-756-7400.
