Sanford, FL -
Starting this week, the Sanford Police Department is sending out letters to owners of vehicles that are spotted lingering in an area known for prostitution. The letters will include a photo of the vehicle and a reminder about the dangers of prostitution both legally and for health reasons.
Sanford Police said that the letters would only be sent if the officer reviewing the images are confident that the driver of the vehicle is attempting to solicit and not just lost. Police hope that the program will decrease the demand for prostitution by stripping its anonymity.
