The parent of Trayvon Martin have settled a wrongful death lawsuit they filed against the homeowner's association where their son was shot and killed by George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch captain for the homeowners association's neighborhood watch program.

The exact amount has not been released, and in court documents that were made public, the amount was redacted. Later in the 5-page settlement agreement, it states both parities agree to keep the amount confidential.

According to reports, the lead investigator in the George Zimmerman case, Chris Serino, has hired the attorney who previously represented Casey Anthony.

Serino was the subject of criticism after police reports were leaked in which he filed an arrest affidavit for George Zimmerman but was shut out when Sanford Police CHief Bill Lee publicly said there was not enough evidence to arrest Zimmerman.

Lee later was forced to resign over his handling of the Zimmerman case and how he directed his department in its handling.

One of the prosecutors in the George Zimmerman case, Assistant State Attorney Bernie de la Rionda, is asking Seminole County Circuit Judge Debra Nelson to issue a gag order on the defesne team.

Rionda has accused the defense multiple times of posting news and information about the defense's claims on a website maintained for George Zimmerman.

In one such posting, lead defense attorney Mark O'Mara clomplains that Rionda still has not turned over key pieces of evidence hat is required under discovery rules in Florida.

Attorney's for George Zimmerman has sent subpoenas to Trayvon Martin's school seeking his records including tardiness, and disciplinary actions.

Martin was suspended by Miami-Dade County schools because traces of marijuana were found in a plastic baggie in his book bag. He was serving the suspension when he was shot Feb. 26 by Zimmerman in Sanford Florida while walking back from a 7-11 with snacks during the NBA All-Star game that he and his father were watching.

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense.
