George Zimmerman's Defense Attorney Mark O'Mara Releases Witness List;. SEE FULL LIST

Defense Attorney Mark O'Mara has released the second witness list in the upcoming trial of George Zimmerman who is accused of killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin with a single shot to the chest at point blank range citing self defense.

On the list is officials, officers and employees with nearly every law enforcement agency with jurisdiction in Sanford Florida, including Seminole County, the city of Sanford, FDLE, medical examier's office, and the state prosecutors office.

Suspect In Armed Robbery, Grand Theft Auto, Caught After Car Chase on I-4 Ended With A Crash

Orlando, Fla. -

Police in Orange County and Seminole County arrested 21-year-old Sterling Anthony after they say he robbed a man at the Lemon Tree Condominiums on Lakeway Drive at 5:47am this morning then stole his car. The incident happened just north of Park Central.

According to police, Anthony approached the victim and demanded his money and car keys and took off in the car. He was spotted on John Young Parkway and fled when police attempted to stop him.

John Ferguson Of Oviedo Arrested For Sex Crimes With A Minor

Police in Seminole County and Oviedo Florida have arrested 49-year-old John Ferguson on charges of traveling to engage in sex with a minor and solicitation of sex with a minor using a computer.

Ferguson has made contact with a 14-year-old girl and began text messages and chat conversation with the girl when she informed her mother who then went to the police.

An undercover investigator then assumed the girls identity and continued the conversations for nearly four months. It was then that Ferguson asked to meet the girl and offered for her to sleep over at his home.

Xbox User Caused Police To Storm House In Search of Hostages, Turn Out To Be A Hoax

Oviedo, Fla. -

Police in Oviedo Responded to a home on Bay Club Rd overnight and burst into the home while the family was asleep, believing there was a hostage situation.

As members of the SWAT team searched the home and forced the family outside, reality set in, realizing the police were the victims of a hoax.

It started between two Xbox players online who got into a disagreement, resulting in one of them calling police reporting a hostage situation, but gave an incorrect address, hoping to lead police to the other users home.

Child Sex Sting Operation In Seminole County Nabbs 50 Suspects

Seminole County -

Following a child sex sting operation dubbed, “Operation Cardea”, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office says they arrested 50 men, mostly from Central Florida, who answered an on-line ad to have sex with children ranging in age from 11-15 years of age.

Similar to the TV Show "To Catch A Predator", authorities set up at a house in Seminole County, and as the men arrived, 1 by 1, they took each of them into custody.

Seminole County School Bus Runs Red Light And Crashes Into Power Pole

Seminole Couty, Fla. -

A school bus carrying special needs students crashed this moring after running a red light, side swiping a minivan driven by Chrystele Rouzic and then crashing into a utility pole at Dodd Rd. and Red Bug Lake Road. The bus was being driven by 67-year-old Jack Timmel which had students on board during the incident.

The incident knocked out power for nearby residents in two neighborhoods and the school where Rouzic was leaving from.

No students were injured according to the FHP who issied a citation to the school bus driver for running a red light.

Lead Investigator In George Zimmerman Case, Chris Serino, Has Hired Former Casey Anthony Attorney Jose Baez

According to reports, the lead investigator in the George Zimmerman case, Chris Serino, has hired the attorney who previously represented Casey Anthony.

Serino was the subject of criticism after police reports were leaked in which he filed an arrest affidavit for George Zimmerman but was shut out when Sanford Police CHief Bill Lee publicly said there was not enough evidence to arrest Zimmerman.

Lee later was forced to resign over his handling of the Zimmerman case and how he directed his department in its handling.

ATM Robbery Suspect Shot Dead By Victim At Fairwinds Credit Unioin

Seminole County -

According to the Seminole County Sheriff's office, a robbery suspect was shot dead by the victim he was robbing at an ATM at the Fairwinds Credit Union on Fernwood Boulevard.

The incident happened last night at around 10:30pm when the victim was using the ATM and two men approached him from behind holding knives and tried to rob him.

At that point, according to the victim, he pulled out his gun and shot one of the men and the other one ran off. The suspect hat was shot was taken to Florida Hospital Altamonte where he was pronounced dead.

House Fire In Azaelea Park Kills Woman And Dog

Orange County -

Fire crews responded to a call of a house fire at 5708 Dogwood Drive early Friday morning around 6:00am. Upon arriving, flames were shooting through the roof of the house.

Two women were pulled form the house and a dog, however one of the women were deceased as was the dog.

According to the state fire marshal, the fire started as an electrical fire in the back of the house.

According to reports, witnesses stated there was an explosion before the fire and fire crews confirmed there were oxygen tanks in the house.

Seminole County Sheriff Busts Flea Market Retailer Selling Counterfeit Goods

Seminole County Sheriff raided a flea market vendor today for selling counterfeit luxury goods. The bust ocured at Flea World in Sanford FL off State Road 17-92. Sheriff deputies recieved a tip a few weeks ago then launched an investigation which cultimated in todays raid. Deputies have not released the name of the woman being detained. The booth was closed down while deputies inventoried all her merchandise to check its validity. Among the merchandise were imitation Louis Vitton bags.

Seminole County Deputies advise that they annually they confiscate between $20-40 million in goods.
