Obama Signs Re-Authorization Bill For Export-Import Bank

Washington, D.C. -

President Obama has sign legislation that will reauthorize the Export-Import Bank. The bank provides loans to foreign companies who are purchasing U.S. products such a airplanes, ships and large machinery. It also helps finance expensive technology along with other durable products from American companies.

The fate of the Export-Import Bank was in doubt recently as republicans signaled they would not support the institution calling it a waste of public money.

Survey Shows Consumers Would Bank With Apple In U.S. and U.K.

Apple owners again show their loyalty, in a recent survey by KAE and research and survey company Toluna, 43% of the respondents said they would bank with Apple if Apple opened an "i"bank or financial services division. The survey was done in both the United States and the U.K.

In the survey, 43% of Apple product owners said they would be willing to bank with Apple because they trust the brand, and even more interesting, 10% of the population at large said the same thing.

Marriages Lasting Less Time Than Car Loans In America

A new government report shows the institution of marriage in America is becoming less of a priority, and in 15% of marriages, they last less than the average term of a new car loan.

According to the report, 50% of marriages do not last more than 20 years, and America has the highest divorce rate of any wealthy country.

Dr. Andrew Cherlin, a sociologist at Johns Hopkins University and author of "The Marriage-Go-Round: The State of Marriage and the Family in America Today" tried to explain the situation in the country.

OECD Study Finds Income Inequality Rose 25% Due To Cutting Income Taxes and "hope" Of Trickledown Growth

The Income inequality gap has risen 25% due to cutting income taxes on the rich with the hopes of that the extra money the top 10% saved would trickle down to the bottom earners.

The OECD, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, studies the top 34 economies in the world which includes most of Europe, Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, and some Asian Countries.

China Allows Its Currency, the Yuan, To Begin Trading Against Canadian and Australian Dollars

China has started to allow its national currency, the Yuan, to begin trading against the Australian and Canadian dollars in an effort to begin promoting its currency as an alternative to the U.S. Dollar for international trade and business.

Iran Close To Having Nuclear Weapons Says IAEA; Aided by N Korea and Pakistani Scientists

In an unusually harsh report from the IAEA, it said Iran is close to having a nuclear weapon and received help from scientists from North Korea and Pakistan. It also showed how Iran had successfully kept the weaponization parts of their nuclear program a secret.

Iran appeared to be indifferent to the report saying only that the IAEA has been influenced by western countries.

The report is expected to give the United States, Israel and other allies more strength to call for harsher sanctions and possibly some type of intervention.

Euro-Zone Service Sector Contracting, Sparking New Fears of Another Recession, Dollar is up in Value

Europe's service sector contracted again as a whole, though some of the 17 nation member block report minimal growth or stagnant, it was offset as a whole by others leading the downturn such as Italy and Spain.

Growth in the U.S. has been tepid at best, and better characterized as "treading water" according to a Reuters report. The private sector added 91,000 jobs last month, higher than expected but not nearly enough to push the country forward yet.

A controversial bill introduced into Congress that would force China to allow its currency to float on real world economics has hit a major road block when House Speaker John Boehner said "While I've got concerns about how the Chinese have dealt with their currency, I'm not sure this is the way to fix it."
