The person accused of leaking classified NSA intelligence programs, Eric Snowden, has left Hong Kong and landed In Moscow. According to Russian state media, Snowden intends to fly onto Cuba on Monday, then onto Venezuela and then to Ecuador, where Snowden has requested political asylum.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has died at the age of 58 after suffering a long battle with cancer. He was suffering complication from his cancer and treatment with a severe lung infection.
He died Tuesday at 4:25pm and news of his death was announced by Vice-President, Nicolas Maduro, who Chavez previously stated in December as his preferred successor.
Chavez is most known in the United State for being an outspoken critic of the U.S. and American foreign policy.

This comes after he twice declared victory against cancer after receiving treatment in Cuba. Chavez did publically appoint Vice President Nicolas Maduro as his successor which is the first time an announcement like this has occurred.
This latest announcement came after Chavez spent three weeks in seclusion while having medical treatment in Cuba.

According to reports, Chavez will undergo "hyperbaric oxygenation" - a method used to reduce bone decay caused by radiation therapy.

Police and FBI agents have arrested two men trying to sell a stolen Matisee painting worth $3 million. The 1925 painting, “Odalisque in Red Pants" was stolen from a Venezuelan museum and replaced by a forgery and authorities here say the two suspects were trying to sell it from their Miami Beach Loews hotel room.
In a scene like the hit TV show "White Collar", the FBI set up a sting operation where the two attempted to sell the valuable painting to undercover agents. No word on who played Niel Caffery but the original painting was recovered.
Venezuela President Hugo Chavez has confirmed news reports that new lesions, he previous had surgery in Cuba to remove a tumor and had declared himself cancer free.
The 56 year old leader is not expected to live more than a year according to some medical sources close to him the Daily Mail reports. It is believed that his cancer has spread from his colon and prostate gland to other parts of his body.
Chaves said he plans to undergo more surgery to remove the cancer and possibly undergo more chemotherapy.

In June, Chavez underwent surgery in Havana, Cuba to have a baseball sized tumor removed and has been receiving treatment since then. He has been in office for 12 years and faces elections next year.
