U.K. May Strip Diplomatic Status Of Ecuador's Embassy In Order To Arrest Julian Assange

Ecuador has granted Wikileaks founder Julian Assange political asylum according to Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño.
Meanwhile British authorities say they will not grant safe passage out of Britain from the Ecuadorian Embassy.

British officials at the UK Foreign Office have said they may strip the Ecuadorian Embassy of diplomatic status so that it can fulfill its "legal obligation" and arrest Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

British Police Demand Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Leave Ecuador Embassy Where He Requested Asylum

Metropolitan police are demanding that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange leave the Ecuadorian Embassy where he went on June 19 to seek Asylum. Assange is wanted in Sweden over sexual molestation charges.

Police have said that he is in violation of his bail condition, that he stay as the residence of a support outside London every night, and that he is in further violation by refusing to come to the police station. Diplomatic protocol and international conventions prevent police from entering a foreign embassy.

Alleged WikiLeaks source will face military court martial

US Army Private Bradley Manning has been ordered to appear before a court martial. The intelligence analyst is facing charges from the biggest leak of classified material to WikiLeaks website. Manning is accused of giving over 700,000 secret documents and classified video. If convicted Manning of the 22 counts including aiding the enemy he could receive life in prison.

WikiLeaks May Be Close to Shutting Down Says Founder Julian Assange

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange of Australia said that the foundation may be very close to shutting down citing their inability to overcome the financial donation restrictions put in place by America and other governments.
