11 Week old Blind Puppy In Kissimmee Needs Loving Home

Kissimmee, Fla. -

The Osceola County Animal Services is trying to find someone who can adopt an 11 week old blind puppy.

Animal workers said Stevie looks normal, and his eyes appear normal, but in fact he is blind.

it was first noticed when he was younger and was separated from his siblings, he would cry and put his nose in the air in an effort to find them.

Animal services said they are hoping someone will adopt Stevie, and that he has special needs. The adopted family must be willing to allow on-site inspection of the home, and have a fenced yard.

Arizona Woman Fights For Fish Pedicure Business

Cindy Vong of Pheonix has filed a lawsuit in Arizona against the state for forcing her to close her fish pedicure business.

The fish pedicure business is a growing niche in the salon industry. The small fish used in the pedicure nibble away at dead skin on the feet of clients seeking salon services. Consumers have liked the fish because it is seen as a less intrusive and less painful.

Melbourne Surfer Bit By Shark

On Monday there was a shark attack at Melbourne Beach when 14- year-old Kai Rittgers was surfing at dusk.

According to reports, Kai and his brothers and father had all been surfing when he was the last one still in the water. That's when Kai was bitten by a shark on his left foot leaving behind a crescent shaped puncture and scratch marks from the sharks teeth.

He was able to swim to the safety of the beach. The injuries don't appear to be major.

Researchers have claimed they have successfully trained mice to sniff and detect bombs as well as other dangerous items, and they also inadvertently discovered they can smell money.

According to BioExplorers of Israel, they began working on the idea around 2000 according to founder and chief technology officer Eran Lumbroso.

Discovery Channel Star Of 'Swamp Brothers', Robert Keszey, Indicted On Federal Animal Smuggling Charges

Federal prosecutors have indicted 47-year-old Robert Keszey, one of the stars of the popular Discovery Channel show 'Swamp Bothers'.

Keszey has been accused of illegally buy and selling wildlife and smuggling it across state lines from the Northeast to Florida.

Also charges are pending for violating federal wildlife laws.

Drunk Pennsylvania Woman Jumps Into Swollen River To Save Ducks

Rescue officials had to save a Glen Rock, PA woman, Justina Laniewski, after she jumped into a river, that was swollen by Hurricane Sandy, to save two ducks. Police say she was drunk.

After leaping into the river, her 4-year-old son tried to follow but neighbors stopped him.

Police have charged the woman with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

According to police her blood alcohol was twice the legal driving limit.

Laniewski denies she tried to save tow ducks saying instead she slipped on some rocks and fell into the neck deep rushing water.

Shark Falls from Sky Onto California Golf Course: True Story

Maybe this will help dispel your belief that Florida is a bit weird. Golfers playing at the San Juan Hills Golf Club in California were surprised to watch a two-foot shark fall from the sky and land on the gold course onto the putting green, and no one yelled "fore"!

The shark, a two-foot long leopard shark, had a small puncture wound that was discovered by course marshal and employees at the gold course put the shark into some water before eventually being able to release it back into the Pacific Ocean.

Horse Shot 58 Times By Cruel Owner Is Expected To Survive After Being Rescued

Los Angeles, CA -

ASPCA officials discovered a horse that had been shot 58 times by its owners with a BB gun and the open wounds were infested and crippling the horse due to the fact that the owner neglected to get medical care for his horse, named Calamity Jane.

The horse was found by Stacey Cohen, of Rancho Palos Verdes, and was not expected to survive.

After struggling to find help, Cohen was able to find a local vet willing to do pro-bono work to remove the pellets that were infected and beginning to cause life threatening sickness in Calamity Jane.

Supermarket On Long Island, N.Y. Endures Alligator Outbreak

Another alligator has turned up in the Pathmark grocery store parking lot in Baldwin, N.Y., the second in two days.

Wednesday a second alligator was discovered strolling across the store's parking lot, this one 4 feet long, and officials said they don't know where it came from and are concerned for public safety.

"We can't just have wild or pet alligators meandoring around as they please in public" said Vickie Strohes, a witness to one of the spottings.
