Jesse Davis Has Pleaded Guilty To The Cady Way Killings Of Nicholas Presha And Jeremy Stewart

Jesse Davis, One of the main suspects int he Cady Way Trail murders of Winter Park High School students Nicholas Presha And Jeremy Stewart has pleaded guilty.

Police arrested Davis as well as Hector Rodriguez for the murders of Nicholas Presha And Jeremy Stewart who were apparently involved with stolen guns and had been trying to sell them to the suspects. Until then, nether had been suspected of being involved with drugs or crime according to accounts by friends.

Winter Park Police Looking For Cross Dressing Con Artist Who Steals Credit Cards From Elderly

Winter Park, Fla. -

Police in Winter Park, Florida are looking for 29-year-old Meko Hartfield who they say is a cross dressing man who is stealing credit cards and money from elderly people. In the picture above, Hartfield is caught on surveillance camera at the Winter Park Towers wearing female nursing clothes.

Hartfield is also believed to have been involved in similar crimes across Central Florida and in other parts of the country.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding Hartfield and have asked anyone with information to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.

Winter Park Police Looking For Suspect Who Kidnapped Woman And Forced Her To Go To ATM

Winter Park, Fla. -

Police in Winter Park are looking for a suspect who allegedly kidnapped a woman Friday morning and then drove her to an ATM in Winter Park and forced her to withdraw money.

According to police, the woman was parked behind Timken Radiology and Aloma Tile Company on Lee Road when the suspect approached her.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old black male, 6 feet tall, wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a black short sleeve short over that and green work pants and a black knit cap with as short bill.

Escape Prisoner From Winter Park Hospital Carjacks And Elderly Man And Flees With Gun

Winter Park, Fla. -

A prisoner being treated at Winter Park Hospital managed to overpower a corrections officer who was guarding him and steal his gun, then escapes and steals a car from across the street.

The escaped prisoner, 24-year-old James Cornell West, was being held on burglary charges and had been arrested the day before.

After his escape, West ran across the street from the hospital and carjacked an elderly man using the gun he had just stolen from the corrections officer. Winter Park police soon spotted West in the stolen car and began pursing him.

Winter Park Renames Public Park After Martin Luther King Jr.

Winter Park, Fla. -

Winter Park has renamed one of its parks, Lake Island Park, to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park after getting feedback from residents.

The city had previously said it wanted to honor the slain civil rights leader and sought public feedback as the best way for the city.

The park is located at the intersection of Morse Boulevard and Denning Drive.

President Obama Makes A Stop At Rollins College In Winter Park

President Obama made a campaign stop today at Rollins College in Winter Park where he talked about his vision for the future with a packed house, estimated at 2,400 by the fire inspector.

After arriving at the Harold and Ted Alfond Sports Center and taking the stage just after 2:58pm, Obama briefly praised the U.S. Olympic athletes and joked that he could never stand on such a narrow balance beam and then jump and flip.

Priest And Teacher At Orange County Christian School Charged With Traveling To Meet A Minor For Sex

Brian Gerald Shriner a, teacher at The Geneva School in Winter Park and Priest at New Covenant Anglican Church, was arrested on Friday for trying to meet with a minor for sex. According to Orange County Sheriff Deputies, Shriner had been talking to what he thought was a child for over a month. Shriner then planned to meet the child in Winter Springs for the sexual encounter where he was arrested.

After his arrest, The Geneva School and Department of Children and Family Services were notified of Shriner's arrest.

Car Crashes Into Fiddler's Green Irish Pub In Winter Park

Winter Park, Fla. -

A car crashed into a popular Winter Park Irish pub Wednesday early morning after witnesses say the woman driver was on her mobile phone and failed to negotiate the curve at Fairbanks where N. Orange Ave and S. Pennsylvania also meet at an abnormal intersection.

Witnesses say she was also speeding at the time she lost control and slammed into the front entrance of Fiddler's Green, knocking out a column. Employees were inside at the time.

No injuries have been reported and police say they do not think alcohol was involved.

Second Suspect In Cady Way Trail Murders Of Students Nicholas Presha And Jeremy Stewart Arrested

Sheriff Deputies arrested Hector Rodriguez as the second suspect in the Cady Way Trail murder of Winter Park High School students Nicholas Presha And Jeremy Stewart.

Deputies say that 31 year old Rodriguez was caught at 8:30pm this evening at the Nob Hill Apartments and that they recovered a handgun believed to have been used in the murders. Demings also said that the two students, Presha and Stewart, were attempting to sell stolen handguns when the deal went bad.

Tree Falls On Car In Winter Park With Mother And Child Trapped Inside

Winter Park, Fla. -

The Winter Park Fire Department has responded to a call where a woman and her child were trapped in a car after a large tree fell on it.

The incident happened near the intersection of New York Avenue and Fairbanks Avenue close to downtown Winter Park.

Emergency officials say they believe the occupants will be fine and suffered only minor injuries. The tree is still blocking New York Ave. while crews cut up the tree for removal.
