'italio' Comes To Winter Park; Fast Italian In A Bowl

I recently visited the new 'italio' in Winter Park to find out how "Italian" it really is. It was tasty, fresh and the price was great, and the portions are awesome. You'll want to check this place out so you don't miss out on the relaxing and bright atmosphere.

'italio' bills itself as a "modern Italian kitchen with freshness in mind" and serves up large tasty portions in a bowl on an assembly line similar to Chipotle. When you leave, you'll aready be planning you're next visit.

The place was well decorated with a nice red and tan theme and felt open and lively.

Comparing Quality & Accuracy of Apple Maps To Google Maps; Google Wins Hands Down

Now that the new iPhone 5 is out, along with iOS 6, I've compared the map and satellite features of both, plus the Passbook app.  Let me upfront to say I am an iPhone lover, and am enjoying my new iPhone 5 that I got last week when it was released.  I'm not going to go over the usual tech-no-babble specs, just the usability features.

The image above is of the Epcot Ball at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and I used both Apple Map and Google Maps to do a side by side comparison of satellite views, street & location accuracy as well as GPS navigation.

New App Called SymCAT Helps You To Self-Diagnosis Yourself To Prevent Undeeded E.R. Visits

As the information age plows full steam ahead, a new app has come out called SymCAT. Designed by Craig Monsen and David Do, both medical students at Johns Hopkins University.

I had been feeling a bit sore, exhausted and under the weather over the last week, along with sneezing and itchy eyes, so I decided to give this new app a try, after all, I recently found what used to be great employer sponsored health insurance by Aetna suddenly wasn't so great anymore. You can download it from the Google Play store, no word if an iPhone/iPad version is coming.

Marco's Pizza On University Blvd Has Best Service In Area; Its The Little Things

[Opinion Article by: The Anonymous Customer]

Its all about the little things that make for a great experience. If you had two houses side by side and identical, except that one had nice trim work, the grass was moved, and it was carefully painted, you'd want that one right?

Ok, I recently into Marco's Pizza on University Blvd in Winter Park, Florida and was truly amazed how how they got the little things right.

TSA Unviels Document Scanners In Houston, I Made It Through Surprisingly Fast

[Opinion Article]

I recently was on a United Airlines flight from Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, IAH, to Orlando, MCO. I had heard about the TSA coming out with a new electronic machine that would verify identification documents presented at security checkpoints, but didn't follow the news to close to know where and when, or how they worked. I only knew it compared the name on the boarding pass to the one on the ID, something the TSA agent can also do.

The Nook by Barnes & Noble

[opinion article]

I received a phone call from my local Barnes & Noble last night letting me know they have received the new Nook Tablet, ahead of schedule and that I could come down and play with one and buy it if I wished. So I did just that, wondering how it would compare to the Amazon's new Kindle Fire. I visited the one on Colonial Drive.

As usual when I walked into the Barnes & Noble (BN), I was nicely greeted by the Nook counter which sits front and center at most BN's that I've visited across the country. After the clerk finished up with the customer ahead of me, I was next.

HHGreg Makes Things Right

[Opinion Article]

About The Anonymous Customer - This column was started after we noticed just how far customer service has slipped in America, and felt consumers should know. We also wanted to highlight to businesses how easy good customer service can be done, easily and cheaply. We'll write about both the good and the bad in product quality, customer service and other experiences.

-- A recent trip to "hhgreg", the electronics retailer trying to take a bite out of Best Buy.
