American Idol Contestant Jermaine Jones To Be Kicked Off Show For Lying About Arrest Record And Warrants

TV show American Idol signing contestant Jermaine Jones will be kicked off the show Wednesday night for apparently concealing that he had been arrested two times last year and has active warrants for his arrest.

Producers of the show said that they had received information that they looked into further and concluded he had been less than upfront during his application process.

In the episode to air Wednesday night, he will be removed from the TV contest.

The 84th Annual Academy Awards were held yesterday and in a move not since 1929 a black and white silent film won the coveted prize, The Artist. French director Michel Hazanavicius tribute to the late silent film days of Hollywood’s past was considered a strong contender. Lead Actor Jean Dujardin from The Artist edged out favorite George Clooney for best actor. In another nod to the past Best Actress went to Meryl Streep for her portrayal of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher which is her first win since 1982. Jeff Rice, Producer of The Amazing Race And Whale Wars Found Dead In Uganda

U.S. television producer Jeff Rice was found dead in his hotel room in Kampala Uganda according to his wife and business partner Sally Blackman. The Kampala Metropolitan Police Force is investigating the matter have have said that it appears he died of a drug overdoes based on a preliminary investigation.

Rice was the producer of the popular television show The Amazing Race and Whale Wars. Police commander Andrew Kaweesi said that he does not yet know what drugs Rice may have died from and that an autopsy will be preformed.

CONFIRMED: Whitney Houston Died In Bathtub Underwater At Hotel in Hollywood

Authorities have confirmed that pop music queen Whitney Houston died in her hotel bathtub and was found unconscious underwater. Various prescriptions and pills were also found in her hotel room but the LA County Corners office said it is too early to speculate as to how she died.

Officials are talking to the pop star's family and friends to learn how she spent her final few hours, according to the law enforcement sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Whitney Houston Dies At Age 48; Battled Drug Addiction

Whitney Houston's publicist Kristen Foster has reported the pop music queen has died. The details have not yet been released. News of Houston’s death came on the eve of music’s biggest night — the Grammy Awards.

From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world’s best-selling artists, but of recent, her voice and talent had succumb to the ravages of her drug addiction.

Houston also starred in movie hits The Bodyguard” and “Waiting to Exhale."

Disney to allow facial hair for cast-memebers

In a change to a to a long standing policy Walt Disney World’s American theme park employee’s will now be able to have facial hair. Starting today facial hair no longer than a quarter of a inch will be permitted. Furthermore the theme park has instituted a “casual Friday” dress for staff that do not directly interact with the public. The change comes after the acceptance of mustaches in 2000 and the abolishment of women requiring skirts to wear pantyhose in 2010. Restrictions in regards to visible tattoos, body piercings, and unnatural hair colors are still in place.

Orlando Water Park Wet ‘N Wild announced Friday the addition of new water playground the first addition to the park in over four years. The park which is known for thrilling teens and adults with rides such as the Black Hole and Brain Wash said that they are looking to broaden their experience for families by offering something for kids. The new section which is set to replace the previous Kids section will be more than 60 feet tall, have two pools, 17 slides, 100 soakers, jet waterfalls, water cannons and a beach themed seating area.

Singer Etta James Dies At 73 From Leukemia Complication In Riverside CA

Legendary singer Etta James has died at the age of 73, just shy of 74. She died from complications due to leukemia in a hospital in Riverside, CA with her husband Artis Mills at her side according to her long time friend and manager Lupe De Leon.

Some of her best hits were The Wallflower, Something's Got a Hold on Me, and At Last.

Etta James has had a storied past, overcoming a heroin addiction, opening for The Rolling Stones and winning six Grammys. She is also a member of the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame.
