Supreme Court To Hear Xbox Murder Appeal Of Troy Victorino

Tallahassee, Fla. -

The Florida Supreme Court will hear Troy Victorino's appeal over his convictions in the deaths of six people in Deltona in which he received the death penalty. In four of the murders he was given the death sentence.

According to the court's convictions, the murders happened after Victorino became enraged over an Xbox gaming system and killed six people with a bat and a knife by beating and stabbing them to death.

Linking Victorino was a pair of Lugz boots owned by Victorino that had the blood stains of several victims.

Florida Prison Guard Pleads Guilty To Stealing Inmate Data To File False Tax Returns

Miami, Fla. -

Former corrections officer Bernard Beliard has pleaded guilty to stealing personal data of prisoners at the South Florida Reception Center and selling that info to file false tax returns.

27-year-old Beliard pleaded guilty in a federal courtroom in Miami to aggravated identity theft and access device fraud charges.

According to prosecutors, Beliard obtained information on 805 prisoners and then sold the information to an undercover FBI agent posing as a criminal attempting to file false tax returns.

Apopka Man Shot While Taking Out The Trash

Apopka, Fla. -

An Apopka man was shot while taking his trash out to the curb last night. Deputies say the victim reports seeing four black males walking through the neighborhood when a van pulled up behind them and started shooting.

The shooting continued after the man was shot, with bullets hitting nearby homes and cars according to the sheriff's department.

The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

So far, police believe the man taking out his trash was an unintended target that was caught up in the incident.

Casey Anthony To Be In Bankruptcy Court Today In Tampa

Tampa, Fla. -

Casey Anthony is set to appear in a Tampa bankruptcy court today in an effort to have Zenaida Gonzalez and Roy Kronk's lawsuit against her dismissed.

Both are expected to also appear before judge Judge K. Rodney May, and are expected to argue that their lawsuits against Anthony for defamation of character should not be dismissed yet and to extend the deadline for the to challenge the dismissal.

Police ID Driver That Was Shot To Death On I-95 After Waffle House Dispute

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. -

The Broward County Sheriff's Dept. has identified that man that was shot to death Sunday on I-94 as that of 33-year-old Nicholas Walker. He was shot while driving towards Commercial Blvd on I-95 following a dispute at a Waffle House between him and another person.

Walker was shot and then crashed into a guardrail which caused his care to erupt in flames.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene to discover Walker, already dead.

One Dead After Shooting At Baby Shower At North Miami Community Center

North Miami, Fla. -

One man is dead after a shooting during a baby shower at the Gwen Margolis Community Center in North Miami. Police report the victim was a male in his early 20's. The incident happened Sunday evening around 8:30pm according to police.

Police are investigating the scene and briefly detained members of the party for questioning at the scene.

So far, police have not made an arrest and have not released the name of the victim.

Coast Guard Rescues 3 People And A Dog From Capsized Boat Off Key Largo

Key Largo, Fla. -

The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued three people and a dog on Sunday (today) from a capsized boated off the coast of the Florida Keys. Officials say they received a report of a distressed 21-foot boat and launched a search with boats and an airplane.

Once the Coast Guard found the boat, it was upside down with the occupants on the hull waiting to be rescued.

They were taken to Key Largo safely and the Coast Guard reports there were no injuries.

So far, no reason has been given as to how the boat might have capsized.

One Dead And Two Injured In Stand Off With Orlando Police Near Valencia College

A standoff between Orlando Police and armed gunman ended with one dead and two wounded. An officer was attempting to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of Kirkman rd & Raleigh st in Orlando late Friday evening. The driver 21-year-old Marquis Spencer rammed into the patrol car and speed off.

Three people in the car eventually jumped. One man was shot dead and another was captured. The third ran into the nearby woods near Valencia College and was caught. Police have not released the reason why the vehicle was being pulled over.

Police Arrest Daylen Holloman Of Palm Coast After Stripping At 7-11 Claiming To Be A Monkey

Daytona Beach, Fla. -

Police in Daytona Beach have arrested 20-year-old Daylen Holloman after he allegedly stripped naked in front of customers at the 7-11 store on North Oleander Avenue and is being charged with indecent exposure.

According to police, Holloman called the police from the 7-11 but when they arrived he said he didn't know why he called saying all he knows is that he is a monkey.

After police told him he was human because he's wearing human clothes, he stripped, going against officers instructions to remain clothed.
