The return of the great green nipple of Orlando

Well kids aside from the celebration of our nations independence we here in Orlando have something else as grand and spectacular to cheer for. Why I am talking about the return to life of the fountain at lake eola.

In case you don't remember let me take you back to that horrible day in August 2009 when our beloved sea foam green fountain took the wrath of god and was shut down. You see the fountain was decades old and after many years of McGuyvering fixes for the aging fountain it gave up the ghost.

Today I was reading a feed on twitter from a friend who works at the Orlando Sentinel covering the Casey Anthony fiasco errrrr I mean trial. During the closing statements the prosecution while quoting used the "F" word. Won't someone please think of the children. My friend commented "Hey FCC are you listening?!".

This made me again think about how much of how stupid idea is it that in a nation that prides ourselves on free speech there are words we cannot legally say on tv. WTF? I'm sorry but it's just words people get over it.

Florida vs Casey Anthony vs intelligence

Well today we are finally getting to the closing arguments in the Casey Anthony trial. Good God almighty I'm happy that this is almost over.

Now Florida has never had a shortage of stupid for the news media to use and abuse. Look at fark.com the news aggregate website that gets enough submissions about Florida we got our own tag. No other state has earned that achievement (yay?). The circus that has ensued would make OJ Simpson blush. Jeezuz Christ we have people in neck braces running for a chance to be in the court room. Stupid TGIFriday waiters flipping the bird in the court room.
