Rep. Wu Resigns Amid Sex Scandal

Representative David Wu, D-OR, has announced his resignation from the House of Representatives on Tuesday following allegations of "aggressive and unwanted sexual behavior," by an unnamed young woman.

Another Politician Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Washington, D.C.-

House Representative David Wu, D-OR, has been publicly accused by a young woman of  "aggressive and unwanted  sexual behavior." House Democratic Leader Nancy has called for an investigation into the matter by the House Ethics Committee. There have been calls for his resignation, but he has remained silent on the matter. This follows four other Congressional sex scandals since 2010, the most well known of which was the Anthony Weiner scandal.

Approval Sinks for Obama, Republicans in Washington

Washington, D.C.-

In a the latest USA TODAY/Gallup poll, Americans have expressed a diminishing faith in the government's ability to govern.

Approval for the way President Obama is handling the debt ceiling issue is at 45%, seven percent lower than in May of this year. Congressional Republicans' approval has dropped by 3 percent from 31 to 28%.

Calif. Requiring Public Schools to Teach "Gay History"

Sacramento, CA-

The Governor of California, Jerry Brown, signed a bill into law which will require school curricula and text books to include contributions to history by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans.

That's the public highlight of the bill, which passed the California Senate 26-11 in a very partisan vote. The bill also requires that the roles of, and contributions from disabled Americans be included in history lessons. This is believed to be the first law of its kind.

SarahPAC Raised $1.7 million, Spent $1.6 million

The SarahPAC, political action committee, raised $1.7 million on her "One Nation" bus tour covering the northeastern states earlier this year, and spent nearly all of it.

As a PAC, with Palin not officially in the race, the SarahPAC can raise as much money as they want and spend it however they want until she becomes a candidate.  But with a mere $1.3 million in cash on hand, she has virtually nothing to start her presidential campaign.  The PAC spent money on things like giving money to her parent for writing thank you cards, $3,600.  And to wrap the bus it cost over $13,000 plus $11,000 f

Obama "Will Not Yield" to Temporary Increases in Debt Ceiling

President Obama rejected the proposal for a temporary debt ceiling increase brought forth by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va. The President is holding firm on his position that there needs to be a long-term solution to this problem, and he will veto any temporary increase.
