Microsoft Says It Fixed Major Security Vulnerability With Internet Explorer Web Browser

Microsoft has announced that it has permanently fixed a major security vulnerability with Internet Explorer and it will be available on Friday.

The vulnerability was discovered by a Luxembourg-based security researcher who was investigating recent security breeches into servers. It was discovered those servers also hosted malicious websites and his computer was infected.

The threat was so high that the German government warned its citizens to stop using Internet Explorer until Microsoft was able to fix the problem.

iOS 6 Update Will Be Available At 1PM EST

Apple will make iOS 6 available to everyone starting at 1pm today, Sept 19. iOS 6 is the newest operating system for Apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad.

Users with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s will be able to upgrade and can get the upgrade from the app store or over-the-air.

Step 3: Enter your password. FYI, this needs to be accurate.

Step 4: Chose IMAP for the type of incoming email service.

Apple Wins German Court Battle To Ban Motorola Phones And Tablets

The regional court of Munich ruled that Motorola infringes on a touchscreen-related patent in its recent ruling in which is sided with Apple and granted a preliminary sales ban on all Motorola phones and Tablets in Germany.

Apple has sued Motorola Mobility (based in Houston, Texas and owned by Google) over patent infringements on technology related to "list scrolling and document translation, scaling, and rotation on a touchscreen display".

Once again, the techies at Macotakara have published what they believe is the latest iPhone 5. In this video, only the housing is shown, but from that some interesting observations can be made.

First, the data connection slot/dock is smaller than the ones used by iPhones and iPads now and it has a metal back. Also the "home" button is shown and it all looks pretty real.

Microsoft To Launch Windows 8 On Oct 26 Along With Surface Tablet

Save the date... Says Microsoft in an announcement during its recent annual sales meeting that it will indeed be launching its newest Windows 8 operating system on October 26, and its new Surface Tablet will also be launched in conjunction with the event.

Microsoft also said its new Windows Phone 8 will launch on or about Oct 26 also.

Microsoft's Steven Sinofsky, president of Windows also said Windows 8 will work with touch-screen devices, mice, keyboard and styluses too.

Until now, the company had not given any exact dates, instead saying sometime in October.
