West, Fla.

The U.S. Coast Guard was able to rescue four Central Florida boaters after they were reported missing on Tuesday.

David Thompson 48, Joshua Thompson, 15, Evan Thompson, 11, and Adam Kelly, 28, had left the Banana Bay Resort in Key West on Tuesday. The group was planning on doing a snorkelling trip about six miles off the Key West coast on their 25-foot boat.

The group was supposed to have returned before 4:00 p.m. Family then called the Coast Guard around 6:30 p.m. to report the missing boaters.

A Coast Guard plane spotted the boat the next day on Wednesday. The Coast Guard had been searching a 4,000 square mile radius using boats and planes to try and find the missing boaters.

Officials with the Coast Guard say that the group was in good condition.

It is not clear what happened to the boat at this time.
